Equestrian Diva Couture (“EDC”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to delivering your order safely, efficiently, and transparently. This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains delivery methods, costs, timelines, and risk transfer in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA).

1. DELIVERY AREAS

  • We deliver within South Africa.
  • Delivery to certain locations may require special courier arrangements (see Section 6).
  • International shipping is not currently offered unless agreed in writing.

The following delivery options are available at checkout:

  • Standard Shipping (3–5 business days): R150

Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on location and courier capacity.

3. COURIER SERVICES

  • Orders are delivered using reputable third-party courier companies.
  • Courier selection is at EDC’s discretion unless otherwise agreed.
  • Tracking information will be provided where available.

EDC is not responsible for courier delays outside of our reasonable control but will assist in resolving delivery-related issues.

4. ORDER PROCESSING

  • Orders are processed Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
  • Orders placed after business hours, on weekends, or on public holidays will be processed on the next business day.
  • Orders are dispatched only once full payment has been received and confirmed.

5. DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES

Major metropolitan areas:

  • Standard shipping: 3–5 business days
  • Expedited shipping: 1–2 business days

Outlying or remote areas:

  • Delivery may take longer than standard timeframes

Delivery delays may occur due to factors beyond our control, including weather conditions, courier delays, or force majeure events.

6. OUTLYING & SPECIAL DELIVERY AREAS

Deliveries to mines, government institutions, game reserves, farms, and outlying or remote areas may incur an additional courier surcharge due to extended routes or access requirements.

  • Where applicable, EDC will notify the customer of any additional delivery costs before dispatch.
  • Orders will only be processed once the customer has approved the additional charge.
  • No extra delivery fees will be applied without the customer’s prior consent.

If the customer does not approve the additional cost, they may choose to:

  • Cancel the order for a full refund, or
  • Select in-store collection where applicable

7. DELIVERY ADDRESS & RECEIPT

  • Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery information.
  • EDC is not liable for failed or delayed deliveries resulting from incorrect or incomplete address details.
  • A responsible person must be available to receive and sign for the delivery.

8. RISK & OWNERSHIP TRANSFER (CPA COMPLIANCE)

In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act:

  • Risk remains with EDC until the goods are delivered to the customer or an authorised recipient.
  • Risk and responsibility transfer to the customer once delivery has been completed and acknowledged.

If goods are lost or damaged in transit before delivery, EDC will arrange a replacement or refund, subject to availability.

9. DAMAGED, LOST, OR INCOMPLETE DELIVERIES

If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or appears tampered with:

  • Notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Provide photographs and a description of the issue.
  • Retain all original packaging until the matter is resolved.

Failure to report issues within this timeframe may limit our ability to claim from the courier.

10. FAILED DELIVERY ATTEMPTS

  • If delivery fails due to no one being available to receive the parcel, the courier may attempt re-delivery or return the parcel to the depot.
  • Any additional re-delivery or storage fees will be for the customer’s account.

11. IN-STORE COLLECTION

Where in-store collection is selected:

  • Collection details and timeframes will be communicated once the order is ready.
  • Proof of purchase is required.
  • Risk transfers upon collection by the customer or their authorised representative.

12. FORCE MAJEURE

EDC shall not be held liable for delivery delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, transport disruptions, or system failures.
